brixxbox Use Case: Enterprise

The Brixxbox use cases are generally divided into three areas, depending on the requirement level.

Initial situation

Have the courage to dare something new

Business processes in medium-sized companies are becoming increasingly complex. In order to be able to continue to compete in a world that is becoming more and more digital, new solutions are required. BPV GmbH from Unna also recognized this and decided to implement the new ERP system brixxbox. Today, the company is certain: The decision for brixxbox was an essential milestone for the future viability of the Unna-based company.

The history of the medium-sized telecommunications service provider BPV GmbH is impressive: started in 2013 with three employees, the company now employs 80 people with annual sales of around 15.5 million euros. Over the years, the Unna-based service company has become the market leader in mobile communications and an all-round service provider for well-known large companies such as automotive supplier HELLA GmbH & Co. or insurance group Provinzial NordWest.

An important factor in the company's success is its corporate philosophy: having the courage to try something new. "Standing still means taking a step backwards. We have the ambition to constantly develop as a modern and agile company and to offer our customers and partners a consistently high standard of service," says Hardy Pesch, Managing Director of BPV GmbH. "This also includes automating the company's internal processes - where possible and correct. The introduction of an ERP system is an important step for us to ensure the future viability of the company."

What needed to be solved?

Requirements for the ERP system

The requirements for the ERP system were clearly defined: BPV GmbH has many customers with individual support standards and a correspondingly large administrative workload. The ERP system should be able to fully serve all individual requirements.

It also had to be easy to operate and customize. "In times of digitalization, we have to be able to react quickly to new market requirements. This is the only way we can act in a way that is fit for the future." Many standard solutions did not meet these requirements: too rigid, too inflexible.

Today, BPV GmbH also configures applications independently, detached from its partner GEBRA-IT, and modifies workflows according to requirements.

First successes

Employee acceptance high, more capacity available

"We are now able to manage everything centrally via the brixxbox. Our customers benefit from even better, more individualized support, and our employees are happy. The brixxbox also represents a significant workload reduction for them thanks to the cross-operational and cross-device conformity. Of course, the economic aspect should not be ignored: We can now process more orders with the existing capacities," says Hardy Pesch, Managing Director.

The results in detail

  • Homogenization of the system landscape: reduction of the systems used
  • No double entry
  • Integration of all data leads to faster information via dashboards and evaluations
  • Error prevention
  • High customer retention through individual process customization
  • No interruption of productive operations
  • Reduction of complexity
  • Higher profitability: more orders with existing capacities

Appeal to CEOs:

Be bold!

For managing directors who are faced with the decision to introduce an ERP system, Hardy Pesch has some advice: "Many entrepreneurs are afraid of a high cost apparatus, an endlessly long introduction process and an unsatisfactory result. But: In times of digitalization, isn't it even more risky to leave everything as it is instead of taking a chance on something new? I think we as entrepreneurs have to be even more courageous today if we want to survive on the market in the long term."
